Both of the "Götalandskapen" are the scenes of the story of the knight Arn Magnusson and the creation of the country that would come to be called Sweden.
Arn is admittedly a fictitious novel character - but at the same time that which is written in Jan Guillou’s books is true on many counts. We can see the evidence and traces all around us still today - both in Västra Götaland and here in Östergötland. In this audio guide we will visit, among other things, the "Folkkungarnas" family manor Bjälbo and the important middle age city of Skänninge. We will look closer at Linköping’s cathedral and castle. We will also visit several of the most important monasteries such as Alvastra and Askeby.
